Founder of The Crown Project
Born and raised in Montreal, Qc, Loreena always had a love for helping anyone in need. After receiving her bachelor's degree in Anthropology and Sociology and a Diploma in Public Relations from Concordia University, Loreena started her first winter clothing drive in 2014. She has made donations to multiple organizations in Montreal, and aiding hurricane victims from Barbuda in 2017. The Crown Project has created a contest, Prom Queen, allowing a Montreal graduate to have a dream prom makeover. Loreena also hosts #CareerTalk on The Crown Project Instagram, where she speaks to women in diverse careers. We only know what we are exposed to and the goal is to show the limitless possibilities when it comes to choosing a career and one of the ways is to showcase women in these roles. In 2022 Loreena was named one of CBC Québec's Black Changemakers. Loreena hopes to have a positive impact within her community and continue to help them grow and be better than the last generation.
